Does the Nutrient Day Cream sunscreen have a UVA rating?

Q.) Does the Nutrient Day Cream SPF 30 sunscreen have a UVA rating? What tests have been performed on the Nutrient Day Cream?

A.) Both the Nutrient Day Cream and the Nutrient Day Cream Tinted have been tested for an SPF rating, which indicates protection against UVB rays. These are the rays from the sun that cause sunburn. We're confident in the test results of SPF 30.

In addition, our Nutrient Day Cream products have been tested by a third-party laboratory for critical wavelength, which is a metric to assure protection into the range of UVA wavelengths. UVA rays penetrate deeper into the skin than UVB rays. They are associated with the signs of premature aging, wrinkles, and some skin cancers. Our critical wavelength score of 385 far surpasses the requirements to be considered a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen. In other words, the Nutrient Day Cream and Nutrient Day Cream Tinted provide excellent protection far into the band of UVA wavelengths.

As a US brand, our sunscreens have not yet undergone PPD or PA testing which requires live human subjects. In the event that we independently commission these tests, we will make the results available.
