Why Are Retinoids Not Recommended For Use During Pregnancy?

Q.) Why Are Retinoids Not Recommended For Use During Pregnancy?

A.) Vitamin A impacts cell turnover, and in theory, could have an effect on a baby's development in utero. No ethical scientific institution would conduct studies on pregnant women, so there is no evidence to support or contradict theories in this area. Therefore we err on the side of caution and recommend avoiding Vitamin A and its derivatives during pregnancy. The Active Infusion Oil is our only product that contains an ingredient in the retinoid category.
